CHANGING FIELDS
Users currently encounter entire sheets of empty fields, which don't necessarily apply to them. I designed a sheet that is more organized and useful to each specific user's needs when filling out a Customer Setup page.
INTERNAL RESEARCH
I talked to a product manager and customer support analyst, both familiar with which users use which fields. From there, I mapped out which fields applied to the different "Type" and "Name" of users.
There are three Types and three Names for this particular sheet - nine different combinations. Below is a comparison of a Suspect Individual and a Customer Individual mapped out by necessary, unnecessary, and optional fields.
